Fortified Web Design
Fortified sought to redesign its website to better communicate the value of its voluntary construction and re-roofing program while increasing trust, clarity, and engagement among homeowners and building professionals. The objective was to create a modern digital experience that reflected the program's mission of helping structures withstand severe weather while strengthening overall brand perception.
Challenge
The challenge was to translate a highly technical certification program into an accessible and compelling digital experience. The website needed to communicate the rigor and credibility of the Fortified standard while making complex information easy to understand for homeowners. At the same time, the experience needed to convey a profound sense of strength, stability, and precision, instilling confidence in users preparing for the realities of severe weather.
Design Direction
To align stakeholders around a unified vision, three distinct mood board directions were created, each exploring a different expression of the Fortified brand, from technical expertise and structural resilience to homeowner peace of mind and emotional security. The selected direction combined these themes into a digital experience that balanced engineering credibility with human reassurance.
Architectural visual cues communicated strength, stability, and precision, while homeowner-focused imagery reinforced the confidence and protection that Fortified provides in the face of severe weather.
